About this deal

Each recipe has an approx calorie count and there is a list of calories per common food item, helpful if you want to substitute when the recipe includes things you don't care for. His previous books include the bestselling Proper Pub Food , Tom Kerridge's Best Ever Dishes , Tom's Table , Tom Kerridge's Dopamine Diet , Lose Weight for Good and Tom Kerridge's Fresh Start and his most recent bestseller Outdoor Cooking . As Tom says: 'It's impossible to stick to a diet if the food you're expected to eat is boring and doesn't fill you up.

I fully recommend this for everyone, meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, people trying to lose weight, and those that just want to expand their palette. I'm going to enjoy making many of these recipes for the whole family without telling them they are low calorie meals, that way i can try and discretely stay on a diet but without having to prepare two different meals at each sitting. So far what I have made has been tasty and filling (lot of corgettes), but personally I find some of the recipes not complicated but fiddly, too many ingredients in some, but this is maybe because I am trying the recipes for the first time so I’m continually checking the page to see if I am doing it right, which with the one layer lasagne I obviously didn’t because the amount of liquid in the dish I had left in the dish, no no no no I definitely didn’t get that right no idea courgettes dripped out water. This is a lower-calorie diet with a difference – it’s based on hunger-satisfying portions of delicious, lower-calorie dishes that taste amazing. So I've developed lots of tasty and satisfying recipes that people will love to cook and eat , but that will also help them lose weight .

I have looked at Healthy Eating diets, options, other suppliers, but everything seemed to be pretty bland looking. The focus is on the food that we can and should be eating to lose weight, which is easy to make and won't make you feel as though you are missing out. It's hard to find low calorie diet books that cater to vegetarian diets as well, and then this book came along.

I've skimmed the kindle version i bought for a quick overview and like this very sensible approach to trying to lose weight but without sacrificing flavour, and still having a reasonable size portion. Have recently purchased a few 'healthier' eating books and after trying a good few recipes out, this book (along with his Lose Weigh Get Fit) is in my opinion the best. And at times just seem to be lower portion size versions of familiar dishes with one or two high calorie ingredients swapped out. I have tried a few of the Breakfast Meals so far, in particular, the "Overnight Porridge and Berry Compote" and the Cajun Scrambled Eggs and they are super tasty, and the best part of these meals even though its only breakfast, You Don't Feel Hungry an hour later which has stopped me from wanting to snack between meals.I am currently trying to loose weight, and in few weeks in the journey I eventually grew bored of my own recipes. A lovely jolly down to earth approach from a man i knew little about, but who is a wonderful advert for his recipes and book. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge has been developing top recipes for nearly three decades and knows how to make things taste good . This is a low-calorie diet with a difference - it's based on hunger-satisfying portions of delicious, low-calorie dishes that taste amazing.

The ingredients Tom uses and even substitute ingredients that replace all the bad stuff we normally consume, are all readily available at most supermarkets which makes getting the stuff you need really easy. It's impossible to stick to a diet if the food you're expected to eat is boring and doesn't fill you up. I have forced myself to make as much recipes as possible from the book, even if I didn’t know the ingredients or the spices. It might seem a little weird to add a cookery book to "favourites" and "would read again" but this is for sure one of my favorite books to DATE. Then I tried a Chicken Tikka Dish from this very book that I had at my Sister's house and I was blown away by the flavour combination and the fact that it was a healthy meal, so that combined with the transformation that "Big Tom!It's been on my cookery book stand permanently since then in the kitchen and we cook from it most days of the week. I am a big lad, and do struggle with weight issues, saw the program on the telly and thought bang on, tasty looking dinners and no too hard to make, ok so it is the telly and obviously edits and whatever will make it seem easier than what it is but why no give it a go if it doesn’t work then back to a chippy tea, had the book for about three weeks and have made about 12/13 recipes. Tom Kerridge worked as a chef in restaurants across Britain before deciding to set out on his own and take over a rundown pub in the quiet Buckinghamshire town of Marlow. Similar to Ton's story from the book I turned 40 recently and wasn't too happy with the way I looked and I have been trying for the last couple of months to get down to my ideal body weight which means losing 2-3 stone. Acquired this earlier in the year to lose some weight and having enjoyed the accompanying tv series.

One of two other highly lauded diet books seem to consist of meals that whilst are low in calories, do not seem to contain that many healthy ingredients. Now Tom is turning his attention to helping food-lovers who have chosen a low-calorie diet as their own route to weight-loss.

The recipes are easy to follow, but don't expect them to be quick to execute, quite a few of them require quite a bit of preparation, but as most dishes are well suited for freezing I don't think that is a problem.
