If the long-awaited announcement of a second season of Devils Line sees the light of day, we might expect a deeper dive into Anzai’s fascinating history. This season could mainly focus on Anzai’s quest to discover the true origin of his birth and the mysterious Hybrid Plan. This initiatory journey would lead him to Obihiro, a city that may well hold the secrets of his past.

Kurz bevor ich mit dem Lesen begonnen habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass auf Netflix ein Anime zu der Reihe zu finden ist. Ich habe das Manga und den Anime miteinander verglichen (zumindest die Episoden, deren Mangas ich gelesen habe) und kann „Anime Only“ Personen, das Manga auf jeden fall ans Herz legen. Der Anime erweitert natürlich bestimmte Action Szenen und so weiter aber im Manga werden meiner Meinung nach bestimmte Handlungsstränge besser dargestellt und auch Sachverhalte sind einfacher zu verstehen. The characters were rated 10/10 because, again, Ryo Hanada's development of them was simply awesome, the way they progressed, struggled, were careless, were caring, were brave, it was all very human of them and very in depth. I found myself liking several characters by the time I reached chapter 52, and not disliking quite as many as before. Though, I still firmly dislike a few, just because I find their personalities annoyingly written, as they remind me of real life people that I personally know.

Ich bin sehr neugierig, wie es weitergeht und ob man noch mehr über die Hintergrundgeschichte bestimmter Charaktere erfährt. Ich vermute, dass dieses Manga noch in eine düstere Richtung gehen wird und darauf freue ich mich sehr!

What, Tsukasa and Anzai are in their early 20s? I thought they were teenagers. Their romance feels somewhat unconvincing, now, although I still like how sweet and cute it is. A decision of Tsukasa's was reminiscent of Vampire Knight: heroine decides to throw herself under the bus and offer her blood to a vampire she cares about.
