About this deal

It takes just two button presses to launch iPlayer, and a few more to scroll along and select Netflix (and yes, this is the UHD version of Netflix).

I really like the Youview box but I have 2 little concerns the remote arrow key to the right doesn't work very well it take a few pushes before it works. Things have improved greatly and the remote control (lengthy but light) works nicely in tandem with the operating system, which is enjoyable to use, moving slickly along its two-tier carousel of options that appears at the bottom of the screen. This high-quality, safety-certified 12V power adaptor manufactured by myVolts is 100% compatible with your BT Freeview box. You can look at what's on whilst traveling home, set the record options to record series or individual programmes etc.

Included in the subscription is the BT Sport Pack (BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport Europe, BT Sport ESPN), which includes all of the UEFA Champions League and a number of Premier League games.

It includes electrical noise reduction, heat reduction and over-voltage protection, keeping your device powered and safe. The what hifi review was redone because of the newer interface not because the box changed but this is What hifi we are talking about and they are not exactly 100% about the tech (good sound comments but can be a bit lacking in tech details). There’s a lot more to the DTR-T4000 than just UHD, being a fully-fledged YouView PVR with seven-day rollback EPG, an array of on-demand content (some of it free, some rentable, some for purchase) and access to BT TV’s subscription package. I have looked up forums showing countless people crying out for this solution as far back as 2012 but they have still neglected to include it! Recording two live UHD football matches (five hours and eight minutes in total) filled nine per cent of the hard disk, according to the onscreen info.If we consider the proof of concept for 8k broadcasting took place in Feb 2020 then you’d hope that the rate of technology refresh would see 8K adapted in time for the start of the new football season in 2022 or 2023 (so 2-3yrs) ?

It’s this blurring of traditional and internet content that continues to make YouView a real winner in my eyes. To help satiate your desire for 2,160p material, there’s a handful of short promos in 4K designed to show off the format, located in the BT TV portal. is only necessary for computers that generate their own high resolution media and is unlikely to be necessary for any streamed or broadcast programming. is only needed on TV’s that display high resolution, high refresh rate content, or the machine that creates that content (graphics cards, consoles). You can also pause live TV, and record up to 600 hours of standard definition TV, 250 hours of high definition TV and 60 hours of Ultra HD TV. It's speedy, sharp, and presents its content well, meaning those that make the most of its add-on package options will get a great deal of bang for their buck. Currently, WiFi functionality on the BT TV Pro box does not deliver that exceptional experience, so we have decided to switch off that functionality while we work on a fix.
