About this deal

Gretchin are the big losers. The changes to army building in 9th meant there was no longer a need to run so many, but we still would like them for screening and character protection. 5 points a model is nearly ridiculous. I'd heavily consider 10 boyz instead, since they can at least hit something in a meaningful way. That might create a role for Warbikers, as they’re fast enough to keep up with your mobile characters and put some bodies and ground coverage down a bit cheaper than their bigger, Nob Biker brothers do. This also provides you with an option on an emergency burst of anti-infantry firepower against an enemy with numbers to match your own. These have seen play already in one of the first winning Ork lists of the edition, so expect to see people getting them out of storage and giving them a go.

The Gorkanaut & Morkanaut suffer from being a new class of Dreadnought without a meaningful role. If they had been given proper tools for better survival you could have something, but as it is the point costs doesn’t justify the return in investment. Their uses very limited. The transport capacity isn’t enough and the amount of shooting is penalized by Ork Ballistic Skill. They really needed an edge, like better Initiative, 14 armour all around, but as it is they are a dead man walking. This Morkanaut is a wonderful complement to any Ork army. Its ability to mitigate damage - or to disperse that shielding to allied squads - means it can defend itself out in the open. It’s a tactical no-brainer to root out entrenched armies by advancing a green tide with the Morkanaut in tow. Enhance the yellow details and create depth by applying a wash of Agrax Earthshade. This will add shadows and definition, making the details pop and giving your Morkanaut a more realistic and captivating appearance.Roar of Mork* (WC 6)- The Psyker gets a massive 18” Aura, making enemy units in range -1 Ld and -2” to Advance and Charge rolls. A good defensive power, helping shut down a bit of mobility as well as getting caught off guard by enemy melee. The Ld debuff is neither here nor there, but can be occasionally useful for ranged elements to help cause morale. As if the Morkanaut’s arsenal wasn’t fearsome enough, it wields the mighty Klaw of Gork (or maybe Mork). With this colossal power claw, the Morkanaut can crush anything that dares to stand in its path. The thrill of witnessing this behemoth in action is matched only by the terror it strikes in the hearts of its adversaries.

Warbike • Deffkilla Wartrike • Warbuggy • Wartrakk • Wartrakk Skorcha • Boomdakka Snazzwagon • Shokkjump Dragsta • Kustom Boosta-blasta • Megatrakk Scrapjet • Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy • Trukk • Big Trakk • Cutta • Big Lugga • TrakbikeFor an extra touch of realism and battle-worn appearance, you can add weathering effects. Use Typhus Corrosion to create rusted areas and Ryza Rust for a textured rust effect. Apply these sparingly and strategically for a convincing weathered look. If your WARLORD is a WARBOSS, then once per battle, in your Command phase, you can call a Waaagh!. To do so, that WARBOSS must be on the battlefield or embarked on a TRANSPORT that is on the battlefield. If your WARLORD is a SPEEDBOSS, then once per battle, in your Command phase, you can instead call a Speedwaaagh!. To do so, that SPEEDBOSS must be on the battlefield. If your WARLORD is GHAZGHKULL THRAKA, you can instead call a Great Waaagh!. To do so, GHAZGHKULL THRAKA must be on the battlefield or embarked on a TRANSPORT that is on the battlefield. In less good news for any budding Grot Revolutionary Committees, Killa Kanz got hit with a massive point increase, and are catastropically bad for bleeding Bring It Down, meaning the brief bit of experimentation people had going on with them is probably over. Deff Dreads get off a bit more lightly, and there’s maybe still a case for loading a trio of the up with kustom mega blastas and the Sparkly Bitz kustom job as, as they present a real threat to enemy vehicles and are less likely to find themselves outranged.
