About this deal

History [ edit ] A Strathtay Scottish Leyland Olympian at Arbroath in 2004, when the company was owned by Yorkshire Traction. Strathtay Scottish was a brand new company created through reorganisation of the Scottish Bus Group in preparation for deregulation of the bus industry in 1986, and eventual privatisation. It inherited the eastern operations of W. Alexander & Sons (Midland) based in Perth, Crieff and Pitlochry, as well as the southern operations of W. Alexander (Northern) in Dundee, Forfar, Arbroath, Blairgowrie and Montrose. [1] A bright blue and orange livery was adopted for the fleet, which would be controlled from Dundee. Unable to serve Montrose due to the closure at Lower Northwaterbridge and is operating between Stonehaven and St Cyrus only Services 140/141 Stagecoach are introducing a temporary timetable for Service 9 from Monday 13 November until further notice. Strathtay also provides coaches for Scottish Citylink and Megabus express work, mainly from Dundee and Perth to other points in Scotland.

Unable to serve Brechin since Storm Babet caused the closure of Brechin Bridge. To reinstate this service G&N Wishart have retimed the buses to enable them to operate an alternative route via Pitkennedy. The B9134 will be closed until 29 November 2023. During this time the S21A will follow the S21 route using the A90 and be unable to serve Lunanhead and Aberlemno. The stops at Craigo, The Old Post Office, will also not be served.
