The motor was quiet, but I wouldn't say 'whisper quiet' as PowaKaddy state. There is a slight 'hum' there definitely when using the trolley, but nowhere near enough to put your playing partner off.
There is also a distance measurement function that allows you to accurately measure the distance of drives and displays the total mileage of the trolley, and a competition mode that removes the features that are banned in the competitive environment. Depending on the course you’re playing, an optional self-sensing Electronic Braking System will help to slow the trolley down on steep inclines. For greater downhill control, the Powakaddy FX7 features a new Hall Effect Transducer (HET) which will help to prevent the trolley from rolling away, tipping over, becoming damaged or causing serious injury. It's just been tidied up a little for 2020: there is no branding on the side of the chassis, there's no big clips to get in the way, they have lost the drops of yellow that we're used to seeing on PowaKaddy's trolleys but kept the brilliant looking wheels and the gunmetal metallic colourway as well as carbon effect trims to give it that extra premium look. For the past 20 years, fantastic new products with style, reliability and a guarantee of the finest technology available is something we have come to expect year-on-year from the British golf trolley pioneers. On further inspection, it is slightly smaller, but I have to put them together to compare them, but without doing this I would not notice the size difference when just moving them around. Standard Battery (Lithium): the battery is for 18 holes and must be fully charged. This can take up to 7 to 10 hours after the round. We are aware that some golfers will try to stretch these batteries to 27 holes, this may damage the overall capacity of the battery and may result in an early failure. Playing more than 18 holes with an 18-hole battery can seriously shorten the battery’s life.
